Welcome to Kent, Surrey & Sussex Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) Programme page!
Did you know advanced clinical practitioners come from a range of professional backgrounds such as nursing, pharmacy, paramedics and occupational therapy?
On this page you can browse and find key information about ACP on a national and regional level. We will also update you with the latest ACP news, education opportunities and local events across the Kent, Surrey & Sussex region.
What are ACPs?
All ACPs are healthcare professionals and deliver a level of practice characterised by a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making. This is underpinned by a master’s level award or equivalent that encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research, with demonstration of core capabilities and area specific clinical competence.
What can ACPs do?
ACPs are able to manage clinical care in partnership with individuals, families and carers. They also analyse complex problems across a range of settings, enabling innovative solutions to enhance people’s experience and improve outcomes.
