What is it like training in Health Education England working across Kent, Surrey & Sussex (HEE KSS)?

GP Training in HEE KSS is a three year programme with a combination of GP placements and appropriate hospital posts in the GP school, which is part of the HEE KSS Department of Postgraduate GP Education.A

The GP School is the biggest post-Foundation Specialty School in KSS with around 266 individual GP training programmes taking place in 12 main GP Specialty Training Programme areas in a wide variety of locations and environments.Our Region:

Information:
The HEE KSS GP School has 11 GP Specialty Training Areas and is recruiting to 266 training programmes across HEEKSS, programmes are based around an Acute NHS Trust, with placements in various local education providers including Psychiatry Trusts and GP Training practices.
Training Programmes: Brighton & Mid Sussex, Chertsey, Chichester, Dartford, East Kent, East Surrey, East Sussex, Epsom, Frimley, Guildford, Maidstone, Medway, Tunbridge Wells and Worthing
HEE KSS has a responsibility to ensure patient safety by ensuring that hospital departments are not left significantly understaffed as a result of trainee ranking decisions. In such circumstances the capacity of training programmes may be capped to ensure an equitable fill rate across all our programmes.
Anticipated Duration of Programme: 3 years
Anticipated Outcome of Programme (subject to satisfactory progression): Completion of Certificate of Training. See Gold Guide for further information.
Expected Rotation Information: 6×4 Month Placements in ST1 and ST2 (Inc. One or two GP Placements), 12 Months GP Training in ST3
HEE KSS GP School Employment Information
Employer: GP trainees will be employed by The Acute Trust linked to the GP Training Programme who will be the Single Employer for GP Trainees.
